14-15 May 2026: Welsh Hospitals Dental Specialty Meeting

BDA Welsh Hospital's Group in association with HEIW is delighted to invite you to join us for the 2026 Welsh Hospital Dental Specialties Meeting to be held for the second time at the International Convention Centre Wales.

For the first time we are including a Thursday morning programme, with expert invited guests providing keynote sessions on Dermatoscopy, Chrome Guided Smile and Cone Beam CT for surgeons. 

The theme for Friday is Contemporary Cleft Lip and Palate Care from Birth to Adulthood, with an exciting range of presentations from the entire multidisciplinary team covering all aspects.

 

PRIZE GIVING DINNER AND ACCOMMODATION

The popular Gala dinner will be on Thursday evening and will include a drinks reception and prize giving ceremony - We warmly encourage you to attend this fantastic social event. This event sold out last year so please book early to avoid FOMO.

The Celtic Manor Resort is the 5* property located onsite along with the 4* Manor House Hotel. Ty Newport, is the newest hotel in the collection and Wales’ first all-electric hotel. It is a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute drive from ICC Wales and is a 4* property.  Coldra Court is a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute drive from ICC Wales and is a 4* property.  Ty Magor Hotel is located just off the M4 J23A and is approximately an 8 minute car journey to ICC Wales. Nearby hotels include the Holiday Inn Newport which is opposite us, the Premier Inn Newport is nearby and the Mercure Newport Hotel is a short drive away in Newport city centre. POSTERS AND PRESENTATIONS

Please note this year the closing date for abstracts is 28th February 2026. Electronic abstract submission is via this website only. No other method of abstract submission is acceptable. No abstracts can be accepted after the deadline.

Please pay particular attention to the rules for abstract submission, in particular please note that only one presenter is permitted per successful abstract and the presenter must be registered to attend the conference.

A draft program will be available below and will be finalised here in the next few weeks. 

All abstracts for accepted papers and posters will be published along with the final program in PDF format. This will be available online.
